The challenge of creating quieter interiors became personal to us, because noise at home is never just noise. It seeps into sleep, rest, work and everyday relationships. It turns a space that should protect us from the outside world into one that no longer feels peaceful.
When we began looking for solutions, we found a market full of materials but short on clear answers for people who simply wanted a quieter home. That is where the Kokon Pro story began.
Choosing insulation should not begin and end with one material
Mineral wool has long held an important and well-established place in construction. Kokon Pro was not created to dispute that or to suggest that one material should replace every other solution.
We did, however, notice that conversations about improving sound insulation indoors too often stop at a single, familiar option. Floors, existing walls, framed structures and suspended ceilings are built differently and require materials suited to their specific function.
We wanted to broaden that choice and make better use of a material that has long been known in technical applications but remained difficult to access and poorly understood by people looking for solutions for their homes.
