You choose flooring for years. It's worth taking care of the layer that will be underneath it. Floor 3 is a thin rebond foam underlay, designed for use under flooring as a sound and thermal insulation element.
Three millimeters of foam between the screed and the panel act like a shock absorber. The panel does not rest on concrete, but on a layer that flexes under impact and converts its energy into heat instead of transmitting it further. This is the same principle why running shoes have a sole, not a board.
Our foam is dense and compact because it is created by compressing and gluing recovered scraps of polyurethane foam. This is not a foamed sheet of film that will crush under a chair leg after six months and stop doing anything.
A roll 1 m wide and 20 m long contains 20 m² of underlay. When planning your order, also consider cutting at walls and recesses.
What Floor 3 is suitable for
Laminate and click vinyl panels, floating wooden floors. Wherever the flooring manufacturer allows an underlay up to 3 mm thick, which is the most common entry in panel warranty cards.
How to lay Floor 3
Unroll in strips along the longer wall, butt-jointed, without overlaps. Cut with a utility knife. Glue the joints with tape. The entire job for a 20 m2 room takes fifteen minutes before laying the panels.
